Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully before creating an account or playing Elyndorë.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operators of Elyndorë (“we”, “us”, “our”) regarding your access to and use of the Elyndorë game client, website, account services, and online multiplayer features (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, accessing the Service, or playing the game, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be able to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your country. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Accounts and security

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity on your account.
  • Do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your account.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • We may refuse registration, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. License to play

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the game client and related materials solely to play Elyndorë for personal, non-commercial entertainment. Except as allowed by law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service.

4. Virtual items and progress

Characters, items, currency, cosmetics, rankings, and other in-game progress are part of the Service and have no real-world cash value. You do not own them as personal property. We may change, rebalance, reset, or remove virtual content at any time. Gameplay rules such as death penalties, loot, and progression loss are intentional features of the Service.

5. Beta and early access

Features may be incomplete, experimental, or change without notice. Servers may be wiped; characters, items, and progress may be reset. Availability of closed-beta builds may be limited by invitation.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorized clients, bots, macros, or automation.
  • Hack, scrape, overload, or disrupt servers, networks, or other players’ experience.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or spam other players or staff.
  • Buy, sell, or trade accounts, items, or currency for real money outside any official channel we expressly authorize.
  • Upload or transmit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
  • Impersonate staff, other players, or third parties.

7. User content and conduct

If you submit names, messages, or other content through the Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, use, and display that content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for your content and conduct. We may remove content or restrict features that violate these Terms or applicable law.

8. Privacy

We process information needed to provide the Service, including account email, authentication data, character and gameplay metadata, and technical logs. Do not put sensitive personal information in character names, chat, or other public fields. By using the Service you consent to this processing as described in these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

Elyndorë, its name, logos, artwork, audio, code, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.

10. Third-party services

The Service may link to or rely on third-party platforms (for example Discord or hosting providers). Their terms and privacy practices apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services we do not control.

11. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROGRESS, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (US $50).

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for Terms violations, suspected fraud or abuse, legal compliance, or operational reasons. Upon termination, your license ends and we may delete or disable account data as permitted by law.

15. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where we principally operate the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply.
